Payment Information
The ERCA Urgent Care and Minor Emergency Center accepts most insurance plans and will file insurance claims on your behalf. We are an in-network provider for Aetna and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. We also accept Medicare and Tricare.
If ERCA is not in network with your insurance plan our Board Certified physicians will first determine whether your complaint is "urgent" (minor) or "emergent" (potentially life or limb threatening.) We will then bill your insurance plan based on the level of service provided:
a.) Either utilizing your emergency room benefits
OR
b.) Utilizing your urgent care/office visit coverage
Please note that the Texas law requires medical insurance providers to pay the professional fees for physician services, rendered in medical emergencies, utilizing the emergency benefits of your plan. However, the "self-funded" insurance plans fall outside of the Texas state jurisdiction. If you are not sure, please check with your carrier to see if your plan is one of those "self-funded" plans.
You will be required to pay deductibles and co-payments at the time of service. Additionally, you will be asked to complete a credit card voucher to show financial responsibility for any charges that may not be covered by your insurance company. Your account will not be billed until after you have received your Explanation of Benefits from your provider and we have made reasonable attempts to contact you regarding settlement of your bill.
We accept most major credit cards.
